Questions
Picture framing questions, answered
No. Call in during shop hours with the piece and we will go through it at the counter — that is how most jobs start. We are on Locking Road on the outskirts of the town centre, so calling in with something large is a good deal easier than it would be on the high street. Open Monday to Saturday, 9am to 5pm.
It depends on the job and on what is already on the bench, so we give you a date when you drop it in rather than quote a blanket figure. Mounts on their own are often cut while you wait, and if the piece is needed for a particular day, tell us at the counter.
Yes, out of the same workshop as everything else, and we have done since 1976. Artists, photographers and galleries use us for framing, and for wholesale mounts in quantity our sister site Picture Mounts Online is set up for standard sizes and volume.
Yes. Tell us the figure and we will show you what is possible at it rather than quote you something you did not ask for. With over 400 mouldings in stock there is usually more than one way to present a picture well, and the mount often makes more difference than the frame.
That is most people, and it is not a problem. Bring the piece in and we will hold mouldings and mount board against it until something is obviously right. It takes a few minutes at the counter and it is the part of the job our staff are actually there for.

Bring it in and we will show you the options
Most questions are answered in two minutes over the counter with the piece in front of us. Mon – Sat, 9am – 5pm.
